 Champions Prize 2025: Indian group may not make a trip to Pakistan: report

NEW DELHI: With the draft dates for the impending ICC Champions Prize 2025 in Pakistan have been delivered, reports have arisen that the Indian men's cricket crew is probably not going to go to Pakistan one year from now.

As per a report distributed by Sports Tak on 6 July, the Men in Blue won't go to Pakistan for the ICC Champions Prize that will start from 19 February to 9 Walk.

"While the subtleties of the competition have not yet been talked about, it is exceptionally improbable that the Indian group will go to Pakistan. Eventually, the choice rests with the Indian government. In any case, the Pakistan Cricket Board intends to raise this issue at the impending ICC meeting in Sri Lanka this month," Sports Tak cited a source as saying. "The public authority's choice on this matter will be conclusive, as we have not yet affirmed it inside. Since this is an ICC occasion, we don't have the position to go with any one-sided choices. Notwithstanding, more subtleties might arise during the following ICC meeting," he added.

Starting around 2008, India have not made a trip to Pakistan and met just a single time for a two-sided series on 2012-13. However India should head out to Pakistan in 2023 for the Asia Cup, the competition occurred in a mixture mode, with India's matches, including the last, were played in Sri Lanka.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) had outfitted its draft for the Heroes Prize 2025, where the board appointed seven matches to Lahore, five to Rawalpindi and three to Karachi.

India and Pakistan match will occur at the notable Gaddafi Arena in Lahore on Walk 1, as per the draft. "The PCB has presented the draft of the 15-match ICC Champions Prize. Seven games in Lahore, three in Karachi and five in Rawalpindi," the ICC source said. "The initial match will be held in Karachi, with two elimination rounds in Karachi and Rawalpindi and last in Lahore. All India matches (counting elimination rounds, assuming that the group qualifies) will be played in Lahore," the source added.
